Lumaco Lightbulbs

The purpose of this assignment was to introduce us to the processes and techniques involved in designing product packaging. We had to focus on the setup of the packaging net without neglecting the visuals of the packaging as they still required strong layout, type and integration skills. We had to design the packaging and artwork for a range of Lumaco light bulbs. There were 4 different products in the range (A 35-watt halogen, a 28-watt​ candle bulb, a 20 watt CFL bulb, and a 6 watt LED bulb). We had to design the three-dimensional packaging as well as the two-dimensional graphics. I focused my lightbulb packing on the recyclable aspect of the materials I used and encouraging the buyers to recycle. Keeping a consistent design was important especially because of the packaging for each lightbulb was different sizes.
